that recall list is dizzying, and i'm addicted to soulemama!
you know, we continually get lulled into thinking that companies are looking out for their consumers, but, again and again we are reminded that they are looking out for #1. it can be defeating, really, if one dwells on it too long, and how we really need to educate ourselves on so many things. it's everywhere. the bottom dollar. heath insurance. car mechanics. food. toys. really, it's mind-boggling...
it doesn't bother me too much, i guess, because it makes sense in this world we live in, and also, i've always been a doubter by nature and always have to look up stuff for myself: "it does? really? well, i guess i'll have to see for myself", etc etc...
but it's just another encouragement to try to live simply and minimally, and i really appreciated those blog links on reminding us and inspiring us to make toys with our kids, and to keep it simple. kids really don't need much, and they take to such small and clever things and make them meaningful...
it's good to be reminded of these things, when we are constantly surrounded by excess, and more more more!
